Redesign
by Rachele on Mar.27, 2010, under Blog
I felt it was time to redesign my Web site – not just in look, but also in structure. I wanted content to be easier to edit – therefore making it easier for me to want to write content. This is my new look. Along with this change, there will be others. I’m going to start writing more about everything in life. ‘Blog’ will be dedicated to random personal posts, where the other navigational elements will all relate to their category. I’m going to use this space to clearly convey the topical expanse my thoughts cover in a day. I have always bogged myself down with the fear of needing to write posts perfectly – not anymore. This will be a stream of my understanding of the world. Look for more to come.
Galactic Pizza Open Mic is Back!
by Rachele on Nov.26, 2009, under Blog
Thursdays, 9 p.m. until midnight, free and all ages!
What can you do with two vocal mics, two instrument mics, a direct input and 10 minutes? Come out to Galactic Pizza Thursday nights at 9 p.m. and show it off!

- Crowd Shot
Sign-up holds 15 slots, but depending on the night, you could get anywhere from eight to 15 minutes to perform your skills!
Each week two featured artists are invited to entertain the 40 or so audience members. The audience of course is all ages and are all enjoying the amazing Galactic pizza. Beer is available for those who may need to get loose before they get heavy. (Yay, Finnegans!)
Sean Anonymous hosts this free event, which started back in August. He says each week it’s becoming more popular. Sean performs in two local hip-hop groups, Wide Eyes and Bottom Feeders, so the Thursday event limits his ability to play shows sometimes. He says it’s worth it though to be able to give this opportunity to people. When he was younger he got he start by going to open mics and is happy to create this space for people to perform. The open mic is for anyone who wants to perform anything. Yodeling is encouraged, he says. Next week he might even land a magician to feature at the event.
The event lasts until midnight. It’s very positive and supportive. Don’t worry, nobody is going to throw pizza at you (because it’s too good to waste).

Enjoy pizza and free open mic entertainment.
And if you do perform, it’d be cool if you’d stay for the entirety (just saying – support your community and tip the heck out of the barman, Murphy).
This event is not set to end – EVER, instead, only planned to get bigger and better. So come out sooner than later. You don’t want to be the last one to know about this.
Peace.
List of Free Job Posting Web sites
by Rachele on Nov.25, 2009, under Blog
It is ridiculous just how much job posting sites charge. Monster charges $385 for one listing in Minneapolis. With unemployment rates close to 10% it shouldn’t cost anything to tell the world about a job opening.
The following is a list of sites that agree with me. They are easy to navigate and seem relatively popular. Enjoy!
